Ranks and Order of Belts in ITF Taekwon-Do

A rank signifies the level of skill attained by the practitioner.

An order (colour) of the belt shows the rank of the holder.

In ITF Taekwon-Do, a beginner starts from 10th Gup White Belt and proceeds to 6th Dan Black Belt.

“Since each pattern has a close relationship with the fundamental exercise, students, therefore, should practice the patterns according to the following graduation to attain the maximum results with the least effort.” – Gen. Choi Hong Hi (Vol.9, p.18)
