What are Taekwondo lessons?
Taekwondo is a recreational activity focused on the practice of self-defence techniques. It originated in Korea and is one of the oldest martial arts on the planet. Millions of people around the world join Taekwondo lessons each year and it first appeared as an Olympic sport in 1988.
It’s not just about learning fighting and defence techniques though, it’s also a discipline that helps build fitness and strength as well as confidence and control.
Taekwondo lessons are usually structured to teach moves and develop techniques within a group though it is an individual activity, you are not part of a team. Beyond that, lessons are also a lot of fun and more interesting than other popular fitness pursuits such as running or going to the gym.
